Statistics

Graphs, Charts, and Tables!
"Lies, damned lies, and statistics"
For fun and interest, we sometimes publish articles regarding the aggregate numbers for naturalization, both in Japan and elsewhere. Some of the research is taken from other sources. Some of it is derived from other data.

An important source for our data is the Japanese Official Gazette (官報 {kampō}), which is an official publication of the Japanese government. In it, all people who have naturalized have their (original, pre-naturalized, transliterated/converted into Japanese script) name published, their address at the time of naturalization, and their birth date.

You can look this data up yourself by going to the internet (recent editions), the public library (older editions), or the National Diet Library (for very old editions).
